STEP 01

Incoming Quality Control (IQC)

Thorough SCM Inbound & Inspection Process for Component Reliability

Using our SCM-based purchasing system, we apply BK Electronics’ proprietary barcode tracking system upon delivery. This enables real-time tracking from raw material procurement to inventory storage location and LOT traceability. Under an Electrostatic Discharge (ESD)-protected environment, we thoroughly inspect raw materials—including appearance, ratings, specifications, quantities, and defect status—to establish the foundation for high-quality PBA production.

STEP 02

SMT (Surface Mount Technology)

High-Speed SMT Lines for High-Density & High-Precision Component Mounting

Based on skilled SMT line operations and extensive manufacturing experience, we deliver fast and accurate production tailored to customer requirements. Our state-of-the-art high-speed SMT lines can handle ultra-small micro-chips (0603/0402), Fine Pitch BGA, LGA, custom leaded components, and wide boards—ensuring perfect supply for highly integrated, complex electronics across defense, automotive, and medical industries.

STEP 03

AOI & X-Ray Inspection

Defect Prevention via 2D/3D AOI & Non-Destructive X-Ray Analysis

  • AOI (Automatic Optical Inspection): High-performance 2D and 3D AOI systems precisely detect missing/ misaligned/ or insufficient components as well as fine solder defects on the PCB.
  • X-Ray & CT Analysis : Non-destructive X-Ray and 3D CT scans inspect hidden solder joints (such as voids) under BGA and QFN components that cannot be verified visually/ ensuring superior joint quality.

STEP 04

IMT & DIP Assembly

Through-Hole Soldering via Skilled Engineers & Automated Lines

This process involves inserting and soldering leaded components into Plated Through Holes (PTH) on the PCB. We operate both Leaded and Lead-Free Wave Soldering lines to support specific customer solder requirements. Skilled precision technicians ensure consistent solder quality across both small-batch multi-variety and high-volume mass production.

STEP 05

Selective Soldering, Touch-Up & Press-Fit

Specialized Joining Technologies for High-Reliability Industrial & Defense PBAs

  • Selective Soldering: Precisely solders targeted spots for heat-sensitive components and high-spec devices (aerospace · defense · medical).
  • Touch-Up: IPC-A-610 certified inspectors perform meticulous manual touch-ups · reinforcement · and inspections.
  • Press-Fit: A solderless technique pressing pins into PCB through-holes · delivering reliable bonds without thermal damage.

STEP 06

Cleaning & Conformal Coating

Automated coating and precision washing to enhance environmental resistance.

  • Cleaning Process: Completely removes flux residues and foreign contaminants following SMT and IMT operations · maximizing PBA insulation performance and durability.
  • Conformal Coating: An automated in-line coating system applies a highly protective film over PBA surfaces to guard against moisture · dust · chemicals · and corrosion in harsh operational environments (automotive
  • defense · industrial equipment).

STEP 07

PBA Outgoing Quality Control (OQC)

Strict Quality Assurance Aligned with International IPC Standards

After completing all PBA assembly steps, final visual and structural inspections are performed according to IPC-A-610 standards and customer-specific inspection criteria. Only products passing these rigorous quality checks proceed to subsequent assembly processes.

STEP 08

Functional Testing (ICT, FCT)

Custom Test Jigs & Real-Time Power/Operational Inspection

Going beyond simple visual checks, we verify the actual electrical properties and operational behavior of each PBA. We design and build dedicated FCT (Function Test) and ICT (In-Circuit Test) test jigs in-house according to customer specifications, maintaining complete inspection history records.

STEP 09

Cable Harness Assembly

High-Quality Cable Harness Manufacturing Compliant with IPC Standards

Adhering to IPC-WHMA-A-620 international standards, we process, strip, and crimp various wires and cable assemblies. From custom design to full continuity testing, our in-house capabilities deliver durable cable harnesses with exceptional signal reliability.

STEP 10

Box Build Assembly

One-Stop Service: PBA, Harness, Structural Assembly to Final Testing

We perform final box-build assembly by integrating in-house manufactured PBAs, cable harnesses, and mechanical enclosures. Going beyond module delivery, we deliver a complete end-to-end EMS solution that includes final system running tests and functional trials.
